The feds already did so in 2018…for them! Why? Since ~2010 fmr civil service colleagues & I struggled clicking "Accept" on common ToS for gov agency use. Ref: Anti-deficiency Act (open-ended indemnity 🫠), Ref: Federal Supremacy Act ("Courts of California"? pfff) www.gsa.gov/about-us/new...

Maybe they should have asked an AI to search for bugs and it would have found it and a human would have been like omg a bug let's fix it and then people wouldn't have died.

Get out of your coding bubble, man.

Best comment I've seen on this

Correct. So why be big mad at people who "adore" AI if it also results in shitty code. If I understand correctly, most human-written shipped code is shitty!

That's fine. But I do care! So I made a comment on the internet and everyone told me to shut up. Thanks for engaging at least politely.

I love Lauren! I'm honored thank you

Why would someone give that response about a bug in code? It doesn't follow. If the code ran (true) but not as intended (bug)... then the response should be to... ask the AI to diagnose and recommend a fix for the bug!

Sure I could have used a different word: I just mean a driveby comment. I adore working with LLMs to do little narrow hobby things I can't do without help or a lot of time I don't have. So yeah when I see someone just out and out saying people who adore LLMs can't care for truth, it's insulting.

It does, in fact! And it's fun. I don't think it's stupid but I accept your opinion as valid.

Why are you?
November 23, 2025 at 9:09 PM
I'm no expert on software development and deployment and didn't claim to be... just an amateur enthusiast!
November 23, 2025 at 9:08 PM
Yeah true. Also AI might catch and diagnose errors a human programs, right? Calling out a bit of mathematical truth missed between the lines of code?
