Cisgender He/him but I'll answer to anything vaguely polite.

It's not just being white.

From what I've seen, he - and others - think that if you're not a cis, straight, white Christian male then you're inferior.

And they're semi-ok with cis, straight, white, Christian females - as long as they know their place - because they're necessary for procreation.

Any reason not to post them in DMs on here? Or even in public skeets?

These are the people who don't understand why AI "Art" isn't really art.
Because they just fundamentally don't understand creativity.

I just despair ☹️

Are you really justified though? 😛
/Me runs

(And thank you so much for the annoying earworm 😛)

True, but some of that will be offset by the (claimed) £150/yr saving on energy bills. Though I'll believe that one when I see it...

And a bunch of things might actually help people - things like the two-child cap, the free training for apprenticeships, and funding for school libraries and playgrounds. (Imagine that, a government that's actually trying to help people out!)

So, after all that, I dont actually hate it for the most part.

The longer freeze on income tax brackets, and the cap on pension salary sacrifice, sucks, and will hurt a lot of people :(

But the mansion tax actually seems like a good thing to me - its a start towards actually taxing the super-rich.

To be a complex bitch you need a real and an imaginary component.
November 25, 2025 at 9:21 PM
By that logic though, there'd be no taxes on anything you can buy.
Instead they just tax us plebs so they can give tax breaks to the super rich...
November 25, 2025 at 5:38 PM
Bold of you to assume that they pay for those lattes themselves...
November 25, 2025 at 4:31 PM
Well, obviously. Because us paying more for our milkshakes is clearly more important than the super rich paying anything at all... :(
November 25, 2025 at 2:55 PM
In years past, the budget concerns were "Alcohol will cost more" or "Petrol will cost more".

This year, we might have the fun of "You're going to be taking home less money", "You can't save as much" (Ha!) and "You have to pay more for the home you already have".

I think said cousin would still be a better option than LLMs...

Apparently - and I realise it's not this simple! - ending world hunger could be done for under $600B.
Elon is on track to be worth over $1T.
So he could single handedly end world hunger and still be so rich he never has to worry about anything...
November 24, 2025 at 7:53 PM
I honestly don't understand how someone can be so rich they could solve world hunger, or homelessness, or a myriad of other things, and instead decide that they'd rather just work on getting even richer... ☹️
November 24, 2025 at 7:27 PM
I wonder how much Elon has to fear here from them doing some kind of deal with the prosecutors...

I've not had them since we moved house, but the Iceland ones always used to be the best. Followed by the Sainsbury's puff pastry ones.
And there was a bakery near my office (in Sheffield) that did brandy cream iced ones that were really nice.

Wait until your 40s.
If I don't take my acid reflux pills reliably enough I can feel actually sick because my meal had too much onion in it. Or garlic. Or tomato. Or.....
November 22, 2025 at 12:49 PM
Ok, so there are things that I could personally do, and therefore if an asteroid does wipe out all life on Earth it could be considered to be my personal fault. Noted. 😉

(Overreaction? Surely not... 😉)
November 22, 2025 at 12:41 PM
A variation of the point still stands though.
Fair enough, NASA and others can potentially do things to avoid these disasters. But I can't. If one gets through, no amount of preparation on my part will help...
