Yeah I think people hear the word cynicism today and assume it means the person doesn't have legitimate grievances or isn't informed, but there's nothing about that in the dictionary definition. A lot of cynicism is well earned and healthy.

Oh yeah, Jeffries and Schumer are fucking terrible. Everything you've said 100% applies to those two, and many more. I just don't think it's true that it applies to all Dems. I'm from Oregon, we have (mostly) pretty badass reps. I assume we're not the only ones.

AOC is who should be leading the democratic party, not Schumer and not Jefferries. They can both bugger off and sit on the back bench.

Not looking for a fight, but more than 200 Dems voted against this bill, and until the elections system in this country changes (which isn't going to happen in 2026), more Dems have to be elected to have any hope of defunding ICE. Painting all Dems as the enemy is incredibly self defeating.

I use painters’ tape to put wax paper around drafty windows/AC units (I keep my AC in year-round don’t @ me). I tape it to the wall to seal out the “breeze.”

Why these materials? Wax paper is impervious, cheap, long/in a roll, easy to manipulate. Painter’s tape sticky + no damage.
