When they beat Manchester City early on, it looked like maybe he was on to something, but they've struggled against top competition since then. And that third goal just now was too 'Eze' 😅

On Arsenal's side, despite the Spurs' attempt to pack the box, their skill at generating looks has been impressive. They knocked on the door early with that flip pass that Rice nearly connected on; Trossard's touch off Merino's pass was masterful; and Eze's rocket through the wickets was 'eze' money

They were sitting back, but they haven't been great at marking players or clearing the ball from the penalty area. There may have been a strategy in mind, but it was poorly executed. Their inability to generate any offense thus far doesn't bode well for the 2nd half. Curious on the subs they'll make

And now the floodgates have opened as Eze rockets another one through the wickets and into the same corner. They've been dominating the match and now have Tottenham on their heels

The timing on that was beautifully executed. A little luck on the deflection that redirected it past Vicaro, but Trossard's touch in the goal box made that happen. Bravo

💯 .. whatever he was hoping to achieve was lost in the morass of a very unprofessional appearance on behalf of JK. His client list isn't exactly a ringing endrosement of his abilities as an agent, either. But I'm sure JK appreciates the star treatment. I do feel he needs better advisors, in general.

I think he feels he was gaining some public momentum, and felt this was a way to capitalize on that to put pressure on the Warriors to get over the finish line. The execution of his tactic leave a lot to be desired, but I don't fault the logic.
Wish the saga was over already, though.

I think Raya held up well, but otherwise, yes.. a slopfest. If the game were a plate of Fish and Chips, it would be returned for lacking any crispness.

Right now, it's Raya's play in goal that has been the difference in the game (especiallyin contrastbto Bayindir's brain fart that led to the only goal). He'll have to hold up 6 more minutes. Can you hold breath that ling? 😂

Raya is the MVP of this slowest of a game. MUFC has been dominating action almost all game, but his solid play (versus the poor decision by Bayindir on the other end) has been the difference in the game

Should clarify that I agree with you, a lot of Gyokeres' ineffectiveness was the midfielders just not seeing his runs or being a step slow on recognizing. But if Sesko plays a role in a MUFC comeback, that narrative will come up, I'd expect.

On a slightly different note, also will be curious to see what the surrounding dialogue will be if Sesko provides the spark that MUFC needs to get over the hump (they've been knockingon the door all game). Gyokeres was a big get, but for a long time, Sesko seemed like the potential missing piece.

Collier is definitely the leader by a wide, wide margin at this point, and it would take an epic collapse by her or a historic run by someone else (Thomas? Stewart?) to change what feels like the inevitable. Collier being so consistently great makes it hard to imagine a different outcome.

I hope he can become the player he was drafted to be. The Kings need their younger players to start hitting, so they take off the training wheels and focus on the rebuild, Nique Clifford was a great add (a 3-D player I liked in the 2nd half of this draft). Has some Doug Christie vibes to his game.

Last point.. his 30 pt outburst is good for him. He was fairly unspectacular in his one outing at the California Classic, though, and as a 2nd year summer leaguer (and an older player, at 23), the sentiment is he should be able to show out. The body of work in the NBA is underwhelming, thus far.

I did ask him if the summary said he'd re-up on a deal or the Q.O... he said it didn't specify, but the point was, they aren't dealing him just to deal him. Is it smart? Did they wait too long? That won't be known until the dust settles, but Devin Carter has never moved the needle.

I know a tech investor who has a minor stake in the ownership group w/the Warriors. They get summaries of activity on a fairly regular basis. Suffice to say, the Warriors feel confident JK will re-up short term, but his agent is doing what he can to create a market that doesn't exist.

John Collins cost Norman Powell. Utah specifically wanted to clear the salary and create a TPE of $26 million, which they can use to fetch a salary and a pick later. Thus the 3-way deal. Context matters.
Keep hoping Devin Carter will get a deal done, but I'm not the one saying it's not close.

The depth (and how Nakase has utilized it) has been the big story, but the Valkyries do have a dynamic duo. She and Kyla have been the cornerstones all year, really. Love the bounce back win after a couple tough losses to some of the best teams in the league. Their D is legit.

I'm not discounting the possibility. That option is there, and they could take it. I have not heard that the relationship between JK and the Warriors is so bad that this is the likely path. I think the meetings they have at SL will determine if they feel confident someone will pay next summer or not

Yes, Aaron Turner and Kuminga are trying to find as much leverage as they can. The talk of meeting with teams at Summer League is in attempt to find a buyer (one that currently doesn't exist). That doesn't mean they are will go the nuclear option if no team bites. Fans seem to think so, though 🤷♂️

The problem with most fans is they think these situations are zero-sum. That it's "the front office is right, f' the player" or "f' the front office, the player is getting screwed." A bad agent may frame it like this to his client, but that's not reality. There are mutual paths to resolving issues.

A Q.O. means he spend this entire year on the Warriors, but unlike in a situation where he signs a 2+1, where the Warriors are incentivized to showcase him for a potential trade, they no longer have that incentive. They may play him, they may not. If not, he's still more 'theoretical' going into FA.
