😋🍴👍
Leftovers made magical: Our Calif white rice reheated with some broth. Creamy Ayocote Blancos with sautéed greens (a mild chard from Italy and a wee bit of sorrel), and roasted cherry tomatoes. A perfect lunch.

Controversial & bitterly opposed by many nutrition researchers and many dietitians.

It always bothered me that while salt and sugar are added to foods during cooking or baking, saturated fat is embedded in the dairy cell structure matrix and must be extracted.

Anyone else bothered? #RealFood
Last week, the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act, legislation CSPI has long opposed, passed the Senate.

This is the exact opposite of what is needed to improve child health outcomes, and this bill is a clear handout to the dairy industry at the expense of our children’s health.

Food is complex. Nutrition is wicked hard. So I’ve decided it’s okay to be comfortable with doubt and uncertainty. I keep thinking back on this quote from American journalist and social critic H.L. Menchken:

”For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong."
