trying to write a review for Prime 4 Beyond, but I feel like I need to replay Prime to shake off the nostalgia glasses. It occurs to me as I replay Chozo Ruins that exploration is also pretty strictly gated and guides you towards weapon upgrades, though the levels are a bit more complex/spread out

beat Metroid Prime 4. might try hard mode. the NPC companions weren't as much of a worry, but the game is disappointingly linear. the green crystal collection wasn't terrible, but it wasn't fun and you need to do it for all the upgrades. the story is. I'm not sure what the story is.
