i truly can't recommend asagiiro no saudade enough. it's the only other manga i've read besides wandering son that struck some psychic bullseye in me when depicting dysphoria. there's at least one devastating spread in each chapter. i think it's v beautiful

i'm really impressed w the first few chapters of asagi iro no saudade. it's tempting to describe it as "suicide pact yuri" but that does a disservice to its themes re: gender. i should probably stop reading so many things that confront dysphoria in such a direct way, but c'est la vie

as much as i appreciate green yuri for what it is, i long for the day when sumiko arai returns to the darker tone of her earlier work. her illustrative style is so expressive, and it lends itself well to characters sopping w dread
