No worries! I looked into it once and I think it’s a thing you have to intentionally add on Beehiiv, it’s not there by default like it is on other services. If it’s more work than it’s worth for you it’s not a big deal, I just figured I’d ask!

I really would like to stay on macOS but it just seems not financially doable! Not when I can get one of those little Linux NUC things with 32GB of ram for $400.

I definitely don't have the money for another Mac right now, so I'm gonna keep doing what I've been doing, and if it becomes to unbearable I guess I'll switch to using my Steam Deck as my main machine until I can figure out what to do next.

Update on this: Firefox is a big part of the problem, it's exploding ram usage and locking up every time I launch it even after a refresh. Switching to other browsers has made the "out of ram" messages less frequent, but I'm still getting them.

this does confirm that firefox is the problem though, it's the only software that's running when I'm having these issues. Weird! I'll see about filing a bug report tomorrow
