So few followers, it seems developers did not realize Aspire is on Bluesky. Developers make this number up. I'm sure we can reach 1000 followers by the end of the week.

I just released my first VS Extension! After seeing how excited @maddymontaquila.net got in an @aspire.dev YouTube live coding session about a VS Code NuGet visualisation, I decided to build a simple VS version.

It's "new phone" day today, and I must say I'm excited!

Not complaining, but why is Microsoft Azure prioritising its Swedish data centres for gpt-5 models and agent MCP tooling? Neither are available in any other European region.

Wow, what a different world that was! So many aspects of this will be baffling to kids today. www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMrB...

I got to indulge my love of road cycling over the past couple of days. On Sunday I got to ride a bit with the amazing Jens Voigt. Then on Monday I cycled 95km to the Devon coast (including 1600m+ of climbing)!

GitHub Copilot Coding Agent is pretty game-changing, but it can quickly run out of ideas.

Me: "Sorry, same error. SignalR is getting reset"
Copilot: "Let's try a different font"

Genuine question: how do "vibe-coding" non-developers cope with this when it's in a critical part of their codebase?

Busy week coming up! Off to the InstallerShow at Birmingham NEC on Tuesday to talk with folk about @dabalox.com and Vertical AI. Back to Devon on Wednesday, then Liverpool on Thursday to pitch to an interesting angel network. #startup #startuplife #founders

What are England rugby and @rugbypass.bsky.social playing at!? Trying to watch the England v France match, but it's only available via their streaming platform, which is dreadful. Not @premiershiprugby.bsky.social awful, but close. Web + Android only, so you can't easily watch it on a big screen...

Shipped our MVP to our first customers earlier this week and, guess what, they broke it! Spent the last 48 hours coding and bug fixing like I'm 25 again only, this time, with more knowledge, healthier eating, exercise, and agents. It's been absolutely fabulous 😀. #startup #startuplife

I shared a 4-seat table with Amanda Holden and her kids on the train back to Devon. I helped her eldest with her maths homework.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

That's better. Did you know that you can change your @github.com contribution graph to show anonymised private work? This now better reflects my activities over the past 6 months at @dabalox.com. Just click on "Contribution settings".

Unpopular opinion? After a decade of feeling as though I "had to" do front-end dev in Angular, it's an absolute delight to be working in Blazor. Being able to use C# up and down the stack (and .NET Aspire) has opened up new levels of productivity. #blazor #dotnetaspire

I'm struggling to optimise my car insurance. It's a multi-car and multi-driver problem. Anyone know of a company that I can just tell them all the details and they optimise the cover? This problem is fixed for single cars, but not yet for households it seems.

Anyone out there successfully developing .NET Aspire applications on Surface Laptop 7? The ARM64 architecture seems incompatible with nested virtualization, which means no wsl or hyper-v, which means no Docker, which means no emulation of, say, Cosmos DB. Extremely frustrating!
