I marveled at the floorplan before, but this thread underlines how bizarre it is, in ways I hadn't fully appreciated.
The door between the Main Foyer and the Powder Room / Garage annex stuck out as pointless, but I didn't really grasp how WEIRD it looked until seeing a proper in-house POV.
