Back in my former life as a #lecturer I delivered this #paintingworkshop to 1st year students countless times. It is only now that I reflect upon it and employ it myself. This #wip will eventually span 16 canvases and be an enlarged version of an A4 source in 2 duotone combinations

This #painting is a little similar to a piece by #dekooning I gladly admit. So, as well as an abstract painting inspired by studio mess, I also seem to #ape famous #art now and again too... A pattern is forming it seems in this examination of practice...more soon

Every 4th or 5th #painting I make has to be composed based on an #accident spotted somewhere in the #studio. Some #juxtaposition of #paintdaubs. Sometimes it works out. I'm always looking for an #art that feels credible or #resonates somehow
