The @BritishMedicalAssociation has decided resident (junior) doctors will strike over Christmas. They don't have public support. Personally, I'm appalled. Last year's pay deal was very generous.

China is eyeing up UK mineral resources - tin, copper and tungsten. All are vital for electronics. Our Government must support home- grown Cornish businesses extracting these vital strategic minerals.

Helen Whately MP
showing her ignorance of PIP. Why do the Tories let her loose with @bbclaurak.bsky.social? It's an own goal.

Should someone create a Helen Whately Fan Club?
Ah, the vacuous Helen Whately, who recently claimed you could get a free car if you have acne

I'd have no reason to question the credibility of anything she has to say about welfare

Intellectual titans Zarah Sultana and Helen Whately on #bbclaurak. Would quite frankly be a miracle if they both found the studio.

Rocking horse-brained Helen Whately, who claimed £3,250/month in expenses on rent for a second home despite owning a £1m farmhouse less than 50 miles from Westminster, calls for the welfare bill to be slashed.

Irony dying before our very eyes. #bbclaurak

In October Tory shadow minister Helen Whately said millions of people with mental health issues get a car through the motability scheme.

Guess what? It turns out she was lying #bbclaurak

I don't usually follow football events but a FIFA peace prize, really... ? Then the shock! The prize went to "Mr.Donald J. Trump." Err, we all know how many wars he's stopped - absolutely none!

NEW: A major boost for mutuals and co-operatives across the UK as package of support to grow the sector is announced.

We've long called for regulators to play a greater role in enabling growth. Today's big news is another promising step on our journey to doubling the co-operative and mutual sector📈

Another strike by Resident (junior) Doctors - the public will have little sympathy. In all my years working in local government I never received the generous pay rises they feel entitled to.
As a supporter of our NHS I'm appalled that Resident (aka Junior) Doctors have chosen to strike yet again. I think the majority of patients will agree with me that they are well paid and they're being greedy.

🌳Vast areas of our most vital habitat are at risk of being lost forever.

Will you join Dame Judi Dench and @wildcard.land in calling for DEFRA to fund the restoration of our publicly owned ancient woodlands?

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is to be exiled to a house in Sandringham. I'd send him to Rockall our last outpost in mid-Atlantic & good riddance!
Time to strip Andrew Windsor of any remaining privileges including the grace and favour mansion in Windsor Great Park.

He’d never call Hitler a fascist.
Never call Jack the Ripper a murderer.

Why?
