Russell Croweʼs Jekyll/Hyde as the Nick Fury was a hell of a choice.

But not as doomed as opening with Tom Cruise trying to stop ISIS destroying artefacts and in doing so unleashing hell on Earth. Heʼs *worse* than ISIS. What a pitch!

Quite (grimly) amusing that in episode 4, ITVX warns about discriminatory language from the period… not from the ʼ40s it depicts, but a homophobic slur in one of the ʼ90s scenes.

Itʼs not original to say the likeability of Nicholas Lyndhurst is the only reason any of it hangs together. And you can see why he might be drawn to the challenge of playing Gary, a far cry from Rodney Trotter
