I haven’t heard much talk of line-drawing that doesn’t involve driving people away or jailing them. Living together is the goal. But for some people, we’re talking about their ability to live at all, full stop. Triage demands we deal with that first, then worry about the nice-to-haves.

Respectfully, talk to your local political representatives at every level of government who allowed or even caused this to happen. Blaming the unhoused and substance-dependant won’t get us anywhere. As Emmett says, those are the symptoms.

It's so fucking easy to whine about the SYMPTOMS of these problems - WE CAN'T HAVE *ENCAMPMENTS* NEAR DAYCARES, WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN??? - and then your lazy ass solution is "get rid of the encampments", as if that answers the Q: where are these people supposed to go?

This same panel transitioned immediately on tough-on-crime, anti-bail stuff. Beyond parody.

I was assured when you turn 40 you transcend your physical form and become an abstract concept. Like love or spite. Probably spite.

Also, shout out to the god, Ol’ Dirty Bastard. The funkiest MC to ever grab a mic. Born on this day. Gone too soon.

When our respective ships come in, my friend, we can gracefully transition to the Meddicis of podcasting.

As a podcaster myself, I would love to be able to subscribe to more but I don’t have a lot of money, and there’s frankly enough good free content it doesn’t make sense in most cases. I arguably spend too much time listening to podcasts without buying “bonus content.”

It’s actually a brilliant business model, because I am dying to hear part 2 of Rob Ford, even though I’m extremely familiar with the story. I just love the way they riff on things. I probably will become a subscriber. Which I’ve only ever done for “Cocaine and Rhinestones” previously.
