Play black label though (at least at first), pick b-exy

black label is slightly easier, white label is slightly harder. less resources and bigger hitbox. the good news is by the time you clear black label youre basically ready to clear white label anyways

Another thing I appreciate is I haven’t seen many examples of bigger number. You get more missiles or shots or drones, they might fire faster or further, but your benefits from that are mostly crowd control related and not ‘the enemies get more hp so you need to do more damage’

I was worried about this when I saw it but I playing made me realise it was a standard powerup system - you’re expected to get everything and go to max power, youre just getting stuff in an order you can’t directly control.

This is not ‘pick something and then hope you get a synergy’

Silvergun’s real problem, and the main mental roadblock between turning my current 2CC into a 1CC, is how slow and theatrical it is. My god just get the enemies on the screen man, at a certain point the dance gets grating.

The complete separation of scoring and survival is something players appreciate, I know I do, but it makes sense that a director looks at that as a problem to solve and I think the way Silvergun does it is masterful.
