Threatens Denmark with Greenland annexation. Threatens Australian journalist. Threatens own media. DOJ threatens the opposition. On the other hand, lifts sanctions from Belarus and rolls out the red carpet for Putin. I don’t think this is the end, and the damage done will be very difficult to undo.

The effort to “decouple” Russia from China has failed. Putin’s rhetoric in Beijing after the Alaska meeting (which produced little of value) only conferred greater legitimacy on Putin. With the 50-day deadline to stop the war expired, the administration’s weakness is glaring
