The first piece of restoration work has started on the Library's chimney!

A huge thank you to the team involved for days spent erecting scaffolding and for the work that has gone into the process so far. We hope you are as delighted as us to see this brilliant work beginning!

Happy birthday to us! It's October 14th - and 123 years ago, Gladstone’s Library was officially opened by Earl Spencer as the National Memorial to W.E. Gladstone. 🎂

📖Befriend a Book 2024: the books are back!

Thanks to Greens Books & 14 generous donors, our 150-year-old treasures have been repaired and restored.
