I get that. Still, I reckon the future is AI whisperers. Programmers now routinely use AI tools to put together schematic code that they then nudge into shape. Without the nudge - vibe prigramming - the code isn't fit for purpose. This change is over the last 2 years.

I co-supervised a PhD automating the translation of manuals for household appliances. The key was a core semantic model of an appliance, which can't be extracted automatically from texts. That requires a very skilled human. I can't see extant texts being any use without extant parallel translations.

I think this is complicated. I have faith in the rigour of my academic writing, so I'm not unhappy for it to be a source. I was in paid work when I produced it, and meagre royalties are long gone.
