Stop secret corporate courts rewarding climate wreckers
Community action stopped the climate-wrecking Whitehaven coal mine. Now, its backers are suing the government in a secret corporate court – and UK taxpayers could pay millions. Polluters should never ...

When you begin a statement with "I am sorry that my choice of language has offended some people..." you are absolutely NOT apologising. You are trying to excuse yourself.
Jim Ratcliffe has issued a bland and generic statement about economic policy which does not engage at all with what he got wrong, or why saying the UK has been colonised has been legitimately criticised. Nor does he seem to retract his language of colonisation in gesturing towards a semi-apology

Apologising for causing offence to some people or all people means absolutely nothing without accepting your racism and privilege and changing it. We’ve heard it all before. A never ending cycle of systemic racism. Today it’s Jim, tomorrow it’s Bob. Nothing changes.

First Past the Post can no longer deliver real mandates - only chaos. 60% of Brits want it scrapped.

Yet the Representation of the People Bill won’t even touch our voting system, which leaves millions unrepresented.

Tell Keir Starmer to change this.

Surely by now we can all see that Reform is a party that thrives on division, fuels anger, and uses the scapegoating of minorities to gain support.

We are so much better than that.

The daft thing is that with Proportional Representation there'd be no need for this self-destructive war within Labour. It could split into its component parts - left and right - and people could vote for what they wanted. It's only First-Past-the-Post that forces these irreconcilables together.

Fascinating read. The achievements mainly due to this man, are astonishing. The public, persuaded by a hostile media, turned to Cameron and austerity. Which is arguably one if the main reasons why we had Brexit and the far right.
