i think you can’t bounce within the first few frames of the downward attack which means either the attack animation itself or the movement of the gear can put you in damage range despite the needle being visible. Kinda awkward imo but just means you need to be earlier with the timing

I love metroid but it hasnt had mass appeal since before Prime and the gaming market is much bigger now. It’s compounded by Nintendo‘s unwillingness to make new games in the series and a lack of fan-art worthy characters

Hey quick spoiler for the video game Mindseye (2025) but when you beat the game you unlock “free roam mode” which contains quite literally nothing, and you are forced to play as this character by default and can not change anything about him.

But that’s ridiculous. Art has inherent value and it shouldn’t matter whether you can rationalize it afterwards or not.

I think the fine art industry (born out of capitalism) has had a negative influence over our culture’s perception of what creativity is and where its value comes from. Through this lens art only has value if you can explain it or make up a story about it to convince people to buy it.
