One of my favorite people gave quite an inspirational speech yesterday- former Michigan Congressman #DanKildee. One story he told was how Michael Moore was his campaign manager when he ran for the school board in 1970s.

I've been providing water to the wildlife here for 5 years as we experience a long term drought in northern lower Michigan. I fill two 5 gallon buckets. Here's the one I filled to the brim yesterday for the deer. They really rely on me. I'm at a high elevation for Michigan.😉

After 5pm the dog beach at Nordhouse Dunes was vacant. The water temp was still 70 degrees. Most of the tourists leave after Labor Day.
