it might slow it, yes, but depending on the Royal Commission's findings, it might enable a government to do something that is politically risky but they'd like to do anyway, they can do it 'because the RC told us to'. A government can also 100% ignore all findings, true

Bang on average! However, I spent 0% of my time on Classic games (games more than 8 years old) vs 40% for the average Steam user. Most of my older games are on GOG, tho!

Maybe/maybe not. The Murdoch media's hold on the Australian government (incl. getting several Prime Ministers kicked out by their own parties) seems to have waned in my lifetime, and the 'Labor can't manage the economy' also doesn't seem to affect voting any more. Times change, even for billionaires

I learnt the US meaning of 'liberal' much later in life, after decades knowing the Australian liberal party's views. The Japanese liberal democratic party makes sense
