Congrats!
I have a new novel coming out next year from Erewhon Books! It's Bridgerton meets Battlestar with a bit of Gideon the Ninth, and my agent called it "unhinged" (in the best way possible). I can't wait to share it with you!

Please read. And please forward to people who have asked this question. A quick, clear, and common sense explanation. "Libraries exist for a simple but profound reason: to ensure that everyone, regardless of income, background, belief, or zip code, has access to information, ideas, and stories."
Anyone ever say to you when you're talking about banned books some version of, "Well if you want the book, just buy it!" The Freedom to Read Project broke down exactly why that argument doesn't stand up to scrutiny:
What the Library Is For and Why “Just Buy the Book” Gets It Exactly Backwards
Libraries exist to guarantee equal access to ideas; telling families to buy books themselves undermines equity, choice, trust, and opportunity.

I am always delighted to see how many young people use our library, including teens. Very good to see.

I just freaked out for the past 45 minutes. I saw there was a firmware update for the Orbit Reader 20 Plus. I bricked it because I put the wrong file on. What did I learn? The people on the Orbit list are nice. It's way more convenient to read numbers on the computer. So I'll be updating that way.

I almost think it's easier to post from the default Bluesky app as opposed to Skeets which is supposed to be the most accessible app for the visually impaired with VoiceOver.

Rereading The Gilded Cage by Lynette Noni. It's interesting to see what you get out of a book in a reread.

Ooh. this does sound pretty good.
I'm thinking... make a basic just-vanilla-flavored filling mix, and then... three layers. Bottom: Nutella & choc chip. Middle: Orange puree and orange marmalade. Top: just vanilla. ...So the whole effect sort of a jumped-up Terry's Chocolate Orange-y thing.(2/n)

What a great time we had last night. Mexican for dinner. Christmas presents were exchange. Caught up on life. The first time we looked at the clock it was 2 A.M. i call that a success.
Came home. Got a good nights sleep. Had Chinese for lunch. And now I'm catching up on things on the computer.

Y'all. Y'ALL. I just finished the Netgalley arc of this and

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It's set in the Imperial Radch universe but it's a standalone so if you haven't read the Ancillary series (why not?) you can still enjoy this one. And you will! (if you like deeply human stories set in space. Or frozen planetoids.)

Off to hang out with friends for the evening. I'm not sure if it's going to be a late holiday celebration. But good food and conversation both will be had.

Had chicken with rice and broccoli today. It was good to have a vegetable with a meal. Reading for a bit. Then we're going to a friends house for the evening.

Is there not a way to send posts with the main Bluesky app and Voiceover?
January 23, 2026 at 6:23 AM
Trying out this particular app. I'm not all that good with introductions. So you'll all learn as you read. Ha.
