My workplace is planning to bring in AI at some not-too-distant point. I don't want to mess with that personally or professionally if I can help it, and I honestly don't see how it can help with my particular job.

Books can be "predictive technology," and I don't mean modern wossnames taking the dystopian classics (Orwell, Bradbury, Atwood, etc.) as how-to guides. I've read books that described certain things and then observed that or similar in the real world.

Dad still occasionally mentions the year the whole family went out for Turkey Feast and he was the only one who ordered turkey. I remember that as the time I discovered pumpkin ravioli.
