Still with the "sleepy" pejorative when he's the one constantly nodding off in meetings and at public appearances ...

My workplace is planning to bring in AI at some not-too-distant point. I don't want to mess with that personally or professionally if I can help it, and I honestly don't see how it can help with my particular job.

Arcadia has stuck with me, and Shakespeare In Love is on the short list of rom-coms I enjoy.
November 29, 2025 at 7:33 PM
I worked on a production of that back in undergrad.

Meanwhile I got happy bonk/lean from Mom's pup while giving him lovins last weekend.

He does enjoy good scritches.

He's the best Ziggy pup. I love him and he loves me back.

Mom adopted this guy as a young pup over 13 years ago. He's a good sweet boy and I'm thankful to be claimed as his.

I just revisited The Avengers (2012).
SHIELD: Loki's a raging psychopath.
Thor: He's my brother.
SHIELD: He killed eighty people in two days.
Thor: He was adopted.

This is on my ever-growing "disgusted but not surprised" list. The world would be better off with certain individuals redacted from reality.
November 28, 2025 at 2:33 AM
The only names that should be redacted are the victims/survivors who have not chosen to come forward.

Depends on what we're disagreeing about. Food or entertainment choices is one thing, human rights is a whole different story.

They got kicked out of England and kept perpetrating their BS on these shores.

I've been calling it Turkey Feast for several years now.
November 28, 2025 at 12:19 AM
Not yet, but I've definitely noticed the influences of Star Trek - desktop (and eventually portable) computing, video conferencing, handheld communication
November 28, 2025 at 12:15 AM
Nope. I'm waiting for the whole thing to be released, unredacted except for the names of the victims who have not chosen to come forward.

Books can be "predictive technology," and I don't mean modern wossnames taking the dystopian classics (Orwell, Bradbury, Atwood, etc.) as how-to guides. I've read books that described certain things and then observed that or similar in the real world.

Dad still occasionally mentions the year the whole family went out for Turkey Feast and he was the only one who ordered turkey. I remember that as the time I discovered pumpkin ravioli.

My dad likes to buy a particular cranberry sauce inna jar and doctor it up with a bit of orange peel.
November 27, 2025 at 1:23 AM
Looking forward to that. How the hell does anyone think that telling a woman she's pretty is supposed to make up for calling her an ignorant moron?
November 26, 2025 at 11:58 PM
Like "but your pretty" is supposed to make up for calling a woman an ignorant moron ...

Ballsy of them to try mucking with people in a place of worship. Not like they care.
November 26, 2025 at 2:47 AM
Is the timing good for all three, with bands you like playing?
