specifically I think one guy on the writing staff had a bone to pick with what he feels are specific bad parts of modern (2009) Japan and decided the best way to do that was through a convoluted and boring anime. it does however have character designs by Umino Chica which elevates it significantly

Ignoring Index means you might miss context on the occasional Touma Moment™️, but that's barely a loss, since he's better written in Railgun anyway. This is not to say that Index has no merit, but it's definitely intended for people who have already read the LNs and just want a cool highlight reel.

This is the first step in getting a project I've been working on since January (ignoring several months waiting for stock) to something actually functional, so I'm quite excited. I think that once I probe it with the scope and display an actual image, the screen will look much more interesting.
