Portlander, lazy writer. Horror lit fan, obsessive reader and movie watcher.

Not a specific movie, but I always enjoy the attire of my fellow indie filmgoers. I didn’t know you could get a Andrei Tarkovsky baseball cap or a t-shirt of Michael Hanneke’s The Piano Teacher, but now I do!

Possibly my number one 80s crush.

Yes! We should have a relatively dry weekend and I’m looking forward to checking out an Oregon State Park I’ve never visited before.

Great, now I’m picturing Jayber Crow as some kind of Sweeney Todd figure.

A lot of libraries have a cart available for reshelving, try to see if your library has one.

I really loved The Antidote by Karen Russell.

So big they made two movies about them!

For mine it’s not enough petting and/or not enough chips.

Rewatched it this past summer after 30+ years, this time in the theater. Completely different experience with a large audience, I think it brings a lot of Pasolini’s themes to life.

Irreversible. Too much to go through again.
Also, Green Room, same reason.

On movie nights, more often than not I end up there.
