I truly despise the Portage/Wellington intersection, even more so in the winter. Let's see if I get a reply from @en.ottawa.ca

Step 7: front brake, all is well here, just simple hex bolts
October 18, 2025 at 3:22 PM
Step 6: rear brake. The included special bolt is too long 😭 I'm assuming a regular bolt would work just as well, but just in case, let's go to Primeau Vélo and get the right one.

Step 5bis: the bendy bit of cable housing that's supposed to come with the derailleur wasn't included (not too surprising, given I got it on Aliexpress). And it's a tight curve for regular housing. A good occasion to check out Primeau Vélo! For the front regular housing, easy to procure.

Step 5: rear derailleur on the frame. And look at those sweet details!

Step 4 : crankset. No special tool required!
October 15, 2025 at 9:31 PM
Step 3 : bike shop to press the headset and tighten the bottom bracket.
October 15, 2025 at 9:31 PM
Step 2: bottom bracket. A bit of grease, easy to install. Got the right tool, too, but a 1/2" bit on the torque wrench is needed 😭
Off to the bike shop!

Ok, let's document this.
Step 1: seatpost clamp. No tools required. Perfect occasion to check colour match. I'd call that a success

The standards are just abysmal. This is what I saw at Corso Italia station a week ago. It's been open for a year, and nobody noticed/cared that the floors were switched on signage 🫠

After 3 weeks away, @en.ottawa.ca doesn't waste anytime reminding me of its mediocrity.

If I'm to believe Wikipedia, Canada's and China's consumption-based emissions are both lower than the production-based emissions, with both countries having 8% of their emissions due to exports.

I asked it to draw a map of Canada. No comment.
