The last hit was two guys with no weapons and no radio. They destroyed the boat, then watched them hang on to debris for another hour before they killed them. If you don't find that morally corrupt and inhumane, then I don't want to know you.
I can't stop thinking about the purported drug smugglers being murdered by the US military. The punishment for drug offenses isn't the death penalty. This is just bloodlust and men in suits playing with lives they don't care about. It's truly grotesque and gravely compromises this country.

I haven't had medical coverage since mid-September. Every call to DWS is over one hour wait in queue, just to be told there is a backlog and they'll get to it. I log in today and the application timeline regressed. I'm so fucked.

For anyone on the anxiety train of unemployment, you know what I mean when I say the tracks are out ahead and the cliff is approaching. It's at a point where I can't focus on stuff that could help because I'm in one of those slow-motion scenes watching my life fall apart. Choo-choo motherfuckers.

I don't know why I thought this was funny. They must really, really need a Computer Support Specialist.

I just came up with "tsunam-AI®" to describe a series of enormous waves created by the large, sudden displacement of human workflow and decision-making processes that are awash with AI/LLM algorithmic flotsam.

One of my unwritten job functions at Oracle was making badges for our employee directory. This is an unutilized piece for a mentoring program that never moved forward.

Remember the Republican argument from Amendment D that argued how outside groups will spend to target Utah? Well, Utah Republican Party Chairman Rob Axson now says “Whoever is willing to give to us, we’re open to it.” after Securing American Greatness PIC $4M donation

A few things....
1. I'm not religious so it's "gawd" and not the other way because I'm not into higher authority
2. I most definitely believe in the power of "damn" and "fuck"
3. hashtags are appropriate
4. anything that doesn't deserve headspace gets a line-thru

"I really questioned the logo until I read that Mazzolini's team spent a lot of time 'trying to represent Utah as much as possible', & it hit me: she's talking about gerrymandering lines. That's why I can't read them & it doesn't make sense. She captured that perfectly."

Remember the days before AI, when we just went to Getty or Shutterstock for our stock photos in sites and social media? Nowadays it's all AI generated chibi art. Man, I miss the old times.

I sat down and figured out that all I need is $13.7M to fix life so that me and my extended family are all taken care of, the charities are funded and my ambitious dream of a B-corp that is a dignity-in-jobs-lab for people with physical, intellectual disabilities or mental illness comes to fruition.

It's like screaming into a void. I'm daily posting applications for jobs that I can do, and the only response I get is emails about Black Friday deals.

I personally am confounded by the lack of response in the dignity movement about disinformation, corruption, conspiracy; and I’m not the only one struggling to understand how dignity alone can be a diplomatic bridge.

This is a little outside the wheelhouse, but how incredibly cool that someone can be "Director of Global Nomenclature" at Ford Motors? The ability to extend & build the entire taxonomy of a company to incorporate the vision and spirit of its products.

We are the movers of the world and the makers of the future. We get up every day, roll up our sleeves and build a better world -- together. At Ford, we’re all a part of something bigger than ourselves...

This article on organizing in the workplace is a worthwhile read. Tech companies are historically anti-union & deliberately advantage themselves thru distributed work teams, labor arbitrage & policing internal channels. There is no space for labor to organize.

My concern with AI is that it's useful but is so subject to abuse at every level (personal, community, enterprise, government). The ideal AI environment is one that's close to you, private, and trusted. None of these conditions exist today.
