branches, mosty maple some oak and eastern red cedar. this is a bit of a study in texture and contrast, initially I'd planned to make it almost a binary black and white but I like the bark so this is one of the edits - might go back and do another edit but I like this the way it is. why does it feel weird to say I like my own photos? I know I'm SUPPOSED to like them, and I shouldn't have to justify or say that I like them and I want other people to like them too but that's now why I'm doing it and it is weird, just a strange loop knowing it is okay to like my own stuff and ultimately I'm the only one who should care if I like it or not and y'all can or not and that doesn't matter in the process, and now I'm rambling, my apologies to those using readers going through the alt-text of a pile of sticks

Rachel heading up the hill, the trail and path visible by the cleared leaves and the tire tracks - this hill was REALLY tough on a singlespeed btw Rachel coming back down the hill Kelsey coming down just about to make a turn between the trees rachel ramping up to come around one more turn before the finish and the shadow of the course tape on the grass.

Bird and their prey

Immature bald eagle? Maybe with a gull? It is not a small bird it caught, but doesn't look like a duck or anything else obvious.
