Despite hating school and ditching most of my senior year, I needed insurance and became an English teacher. Ironically, I was good at it.

What I'm seeing tonight is a shit ton of comfortable people. People who haven't gone without. People who've never had the doc take 2 kids under 1 visit/fee bc no insurance. Never choosing bills or food, heat or food. The only new clothes my kids had until I became a teacher was underwear and shoes.
