One of the PCs still had a doggie bag from this adventure and whipped it out during the final session of our campaign. That was in the summer of 2024. We played the adventure in the fall/winter of 2020. Talk about longevity!

I replayed Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold for the first time since my childhood, and it was just as silly and fun as I remember it. There are sound effects and voice lines that are forever burned into my memory. I had a blast with this game when I was a kid. 😊

I really enjoyed reading your takes on these series! Very thoughtful. And I love how comprehensive they were.

Sending good vibes your way! I hope the pitches land and the stories sing and everything becomes truly and undeniably real.

It’s in my library and on my shortlist for next game to play. It was supposed to release late last year but they moved it—the latest Life Is Strange release date was suddenly announced for the same time, and they didn’t want to compete for attention. Could be why the marketing ended up disjointed.

Oh, that’s awesome, haha. Love her no-BS take on games!

This game tweaked my brain as a kid. My friends, cousins, and I could never remember what the jellybeans did so we always ended up doing the most random and hilarious stuff with the blob. I remember the game being more of a playground for us than anything else! Like the halfpipe in Skate or Die. 😁

Really enjoyed reading this (again?) today. Can’t remember if I caught it at the time it was published. It’s such an interesting behind-the-scenes peek at the business decisions being made in the late 90s. Thanks for resharing!

Totally get you. I admire your fortitude.

Me: Look at all my cool notebooks and notepads! Yes, they’re blank. I really need to use them more…

Also me: Look at all these cool new notebooks and notepads I bought!

Ha, congrats! I would not have been able to resist “things I must boo”…

Tales from the Loop was sooo good.

My buddy and I would directly connect our PCs with a serial cable in order to play co-op GTA together. It was janky af, and it meant one of us lugging our 90s PC to the other’s house, but I have such wonderful memories!
