It would be really good if plannings items coming to council would indicate the impact changes are expected to have on carbon output…ie this new park is gonna reduce by (high/medium/low) amount…this new highway zoning is expected to create a few mega tons of co2 over its 50 year life…like this:

Not sure if you have seen this image from Ashok Elluswamy (head of Tesla AI)…but I suspect they already can do this…as of the recent version they use a LLM to figure out what to do if it gets stuck…

Here is an example of giving cars better priority by giving them their own lane…in a lot of places the right lane might just be for bikes (hello toronto), pushing all the cars into the middle lane…and essentially gumming up the streetcar (not in this specific location, but you get the idea)…

Yup, can’t grow Micromobility if you ban it…docked scooters are everywhere these days and compatible with the bike share docks…most of the excuses the city has put forward are bunk…

This is what you see from Europe. Not gonna rely on a service where this is the first experience. I usually try to signup before I land…especially if there are ID or other requirements for e-devices…anyways, no docks at the airport…so I am likely already committed to transit…
