This furloughed US government employee opened a hotdog stand in New York…something that for the last 25 years would have been impossible to do in Toronto, as no hotdog cart licenses have been given out in the core… vt.tiktok.com/ZSyah2meg/

It seems like a no brainer that retro Ontario and a Toronto museum would make an amazing partnership…frankly there is also a lot of current day media production happening in Toronto that should be saved (start trek sets, etc)… www.thestar.com/entertainmen...

Canada should double down on the tariff ad. It’s true. Carney should double the ad buy, and run it during all nfl games, all nba games, and the World Series…it seems Trump doesn’t like it. Keep doing it until he comes back to the negotiating table…

I don’t know much about snow melters, but this non-competitive contract Toronto just signed because Trecan is the only Canadian manufacturer seems a bit problematic in that it doesn’t appear that ANY environmental aspects were considered as part of it…so we get a big gas fired snow melter #topoli

Who does the Ticketmaster resale thing benefit? This is what I don’t understand…Ticketmaster has a fixed fee for resale, the resellers benefit (but is this seriously a voting bloc Doug relies on?), and sales taxes are minimal…why wouldn’t you put a limit on them, it seems like an easy vote getter…

It would be pretty ridiculous to restart a war because the dead hostages can’t be retrieved from the tunnels that you purposely blew up the entrances to…but things seem to be going that way…

I often think about how most of #topoli community councils items just sail through without debate or vote…but that it holds up projects for a month in the process…maybe move to a rolling 2 week notification period where councillors or staff can flag the ones to go to community council…

Ok, so @diannesaxe.bsky.social has a motion to increase parking rates in ward 11 on transit lines. But my question is, instead of having the money go to TPA, why not have it go to the TTC to mitigate delays caused by parking? secure.toronto.ca/council/agen...

It’s scary on the other site how many Canadians (mostly conservative, but also liberal) think that Canada hasn’t had any involvement, and shouldn’t have any involvement in securing peace…and don’t think our leaders should be involved in it at all…just mind blowing…aid, NGO’s, UN, peacekeeping…
