I’m also noticing what feels like a viewer assuming every choice made in the show means something and were all vetted carefully before inclusion, instead of “huh well that’s a choice they didn’t think through” and/or “so no [person with specific lived experience] in the writers’ room, then, got it”

It’s a buried lede, but there’s a link to an article on the October audit at the end. It says “excessive spending on artwork” but I think the one on the audit has some important details like how the Louvre’s proposed updates “did not consider staffing needs”:

Book-accuracy is always relative, I think! Especially Frankenstein. It’s an epistolary novel, and those are never tidy transitions to screen.

Oh I love the book so much. There are lots more religious themes at work, so much so I wondered if I should reply with “how much time you got” 😂 needless to say, it’s an excellent illustration of how creation myths are built into the foundation of science fiction.

I haven’t seen the film yet but that all tracks with the novel, including Adam, which the creature calls himself.
