What a great video! "Are we willing to do hard things?" The answer from us is a BIG "YES"!!!! Younger and future generations are counting on us to do more, not less, to create a clean legacy. Thanks for being supportive of our work to save pollution pricing in Canada! www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJuo...

Yes, SUPER COOL. Our friends at @intergenerational.bsky.social in the UK are also having fun! Not to mention @thinkforward.bsky.social in Australia who are also enjoying watching the exploding budgets and deficits from DECADES worth of governments who failed to plan for an aging population!!!!

Agree!! Updating CPP in the 1990s was an excellent move! We wrote about it here: www.gensqueeze.ca/eby_ford_tru...

Many countries across the world are envious of the success of our CPP. But why didn't we do the same for OAS?

As the largest line item in the federal budget it seems inevitable that reform will happen sooner rather than later. Giving $18,000/year to retired couples with $180,000 of household income doesn't seem sustainable when other priorities are pressing. Look at housing www.gensqueeze.ca/who_is_asked...

Do you have a clip of the full interview somewhere? Did he elaborate any?

Where is the money going? The short answer is that the fiscal pressures created by our aging population are what's driving Ontario’s red ink. For decades governments failed to plan for the healthy retirements of seniors. www.gensqueeze.ca/analysis_of_...

We still see room for improvement in the budget. Let's start by fixing Old Age Security! Financially secure seniors are still getting payments while 400,000 seniors live in poverty and while we badly need more funding for housing!!! action.gensqueeze.ca/fix_oas

The best solution is non-partisan support of good policies. And here's the biggest opportunity to bring all Canadians together: Fixing Old Age Security www.youtube.com/watch?v=CEim...
Canada can eliminate seniors' poverty with OAS reform

We're disappointed too. Please join us. The key to more funding for everything from eliminating seniors' poverty to more housing, tuition support and child care spaces is reforming the biggest line item in the federal budget: Old Age Security! www.gensqueeze.ca/best_oas_ref...
To improve affordability and reduce poverty, Gen Squeeze has the best OAS reform plan
Like the Canadian Association of Retired Persons and the Bloc Québécois, we want to make changes to Old Age Security. However, the reforms Gen Squeeze proposes will achieve far more, at a lower cost.
