Step one is done. With my ancient tiny laptop hollowed out, I begin the process of converting this into a prototype communications box. My plans are to get an SBC like LattePanda Mu or a raspberry pi, a compact keyboard and mouse combo, and a small screen or two, and some antennas and stuff

It took basically all day, but I finally got a functional operating system running on this 20+ year old laptop i got from a friend. It barely functions and every attempt to get online edges on crashing the system, but it'll be great for notes and stuff. Little writer machine

Had to prepare an older laptop for a lovely woman at my church. She's 70-ish and needs something to get online with. Since this thing couldn't run Windows 11, it now has a very Windows XP themed Linux Mint on it. Hopefully she'll barely be able to tell the difference lol

Our baby got a ball pit today. This was our mother's day gift 😂 puppy absolutely loved it. We filled the pool with balls and then tossed in treat chunks. She was having a blast digging around and scavenging for chicken bites

I made some damn good burgers tonight. Big beef patties, Swiss cheese, spinach, roasted onions and peppers, and a homemade burger sauce (grated onion, garlic aioli sauce, ketchup, Tabasco, basil and thyme, salt, and a pinch of black pepper). I love cooking

8 days ago I learned how to use a sewing machine and got the individual pieces of this dress together. Yesterday I figured out how to attach the sleeves and sew everything together. All that's left is sewing up the shoulders and cutting in a neck line and it's finished!

It took many an hour, but my first self-made dress is half way done! Learning how to use the sewing machine took me a bit. Sleeves and side pieces are sewn up, just gotta sew it all together and hand sew all the little gaps and reinforce a few seams. This has been a fun stressful learning experience
