I dunno, our system of disconnected one-off improvements that all have their own design aesthetic and no maintenance plan seems to be working pretty good

Seattle has what they call "temporary" and "permanent" school street designs. The designs are...awful...nearly identical to Healthy Streets or Neighborhood Greenways, which target speeds of 20 mph and volumes below 1,000 cars per day.
