The principle works, people are doing this. Probably close to you. Situations are different from place to place: it depends on where you are, what you have, to calculate gain. So : homework. It is very cool if tobe part of it. If only people invest in transition as much as they gamble on bitcoin.

In 2000 almost 90% of Denmark's electricity was from fossil fuels.

In 2024 less than 10% of Danish electricity was from fossil fuels.

If I remember well, there is no ecomomic case for inflation below 3%. There are even good argumwnts against it. However, politicians like to be seen as tough. Going into competition to signal virtue. And we all suffer. There are however good arguments against higher inflation.

In essence, you need batteries at the end of their lifespan to have a flourishing recycling industry, combined with a battery production capacity to use the recycled minerals. It makes srnse that China leads, the rest of the world lags behind.

I notice I use AI for things google did quite good, like search, before it enshittified. How long before the same happens with AI? It are the same actors and the same incentives.
