A nice easy overnight slow smoke at 225F so I could have smoked corned beef brisket for lunch. 😀😎

First brisket off the new smoker. It turned out nicely. I do have a few notes to try on the next one.

Smoked corned beef brisket. Soaked overnight with a couple water changes to bring the salt level down a bit and a rub with no salt.

Any guesses for what I've got smoking?

The first and business class toilets in the A380 tend to be much larger than normal. You aren't going to be mine dancing with multiple folks though. 😜

This is a smaller one like is on BA. The ones in Emirates are even larger.

Not sure if this qualifies as a meme, but always a good pic.

Though I had to explain it to a coworker a couple of weeks ago.

I've always wanted a service truck. Not sure why. Not so great on gas mileage, but it does handle like the 1 ton truck it is. 😜🤠

2000 C3500 Service truck. 5.7L V8 with a 4L80E transmission. 188K on the clock. Runs decent, AC works, transmission hits all gears and the TC locks up. The tires are brand new Michelins.

Not too shabby for $2200. It needs a fair bit of cleaning and general maintenance. 😀😎

Cooking with Mom and Brian - slow cooker pot roast. We added dry brine and sear along with a different spice pack to the way she's been doing it for 40+ years. Excellent results.

Does this count? It isn't soup season in TX. Still in the 90s.
