I feel like the aurora forecasts are so tough. I know there’s been times when I’ve gotten alerts but there isn’t anything I can actually see. It just proves it’s best to check conditions because of exactly what we experienced last night! I’m hoping tonight will be good too.Guess we’ll see!

This is a good reminder that you can purchase outdoor lighting that aims downwards, not outwards or up towards the sky. This way it helps everyone being able to see the night sky without all the impacts of light pollution.

That’s true! Bloomington actually banned planting female ginko trees.

I don’t, but I’ve been looking since you’ve been talking about them so much. When I worked downtown Mpls there were a couple I’d always see, there was even one tree with fruit! They usually don’t plant those because they are so messy.
