I track ICE flights, and I write about the history of American slavery. Sounds like two different things, but they're not really. Former WaPo, words in Zeteo, Rolling Stone.

Passengers in exit rows must be able-bodied, capable of lifting the 30-pound emergency exit window and throwing it outside.

Here is the 737 emergency exit window -- how can a person in handcuffs, which are attached to a waist chain, reach those two handles? They cannot.

I just want to highlight a completely normal interaction between two humans on this here web app.

No I mean it, it’s completely normal. A better world is possible.

Also overnight, Omni appears to have done another third-country removal to Ghana. There were 14 people each on the three previous trips, two of which were also operated by Omni.

This plane left ICE hub Alexandria, LA yesterday morning.

Commercial airlines gonna have 10 percent of their flights cut tomorrow.

Meanwhile Omni is humming along with three ICE removal trips in the last two days.

The migrants on the plane landing in Vietnam have been shackled for 31 hours.

This is the very best thing about jury nullification, and you have to read it BEFORE you get called to jury duty.

CORRECTION: It did gain altitude. It is hard to tell but maybe just maybe it made it over the UPS building.

It’s honestly an incredibly heroic effort. Similar to the Concorde crash (NOT speculating on cause, just the effort to save others).

Recommend not listening to the audio in this video, but you can see engine 1 is on fire before takeoff. It was too late to slow down, only hope would be to fly over buildings and crash into a field. It did not succeed, went through a populated area with autobody shops and warehouses.

Just awful.

Hope they present this acidwash evidence of malicious prosecution

And the next sentence is incorrect, something one of those laid-off copyeditors might have caught. (That's the percentage of voters but only 42 percent of "the city.")

It’s the most wonderful time of the year (stuffed pumpkin season).

These men do not look or sound alike!

I appreciate that they laugh at him and explain to him his error.

This man is not up to the task.

The actual interview is so much worse! He called Eugene Daniels “Jonathan,” was corrected, and then did it four more times.

WHILE he describes how diversity is a weakness because it apparently creates racism? So is less diversity the solution to racism?

Meanwhile, randos on Reddit keep asking them “why don’t you just declare a general strike? What are they gonna do, fire all of you???”

I mean what in the Reagan are we doing here

Too easy.

Post a perfect album from 1989, a perfect music year.

If you have family/clients in Mesa ICE detention center, you may want to make contact today.

Journey Aviation, which flew most of the flights sending third-country nationals to African prisons, landed a jet in Mesa overnight. As @azmirror.com has reported, ICE flights to Africa leave out Mesa.

Sorry for these people

FWIW, I don’t see Mexican military doing rescue (like Hegseth said) in the flight data on ADSBx or FR24. Doesn’t mean it didn’t happen, maybe it was by boat?

I see five ISR prop planes from CBP, Air Force and Coast Guard going in and out of Panama, mostly in dark mode.

Funnily enough,

Article says the latest executions occurred in the "Eastern Pacific" and that they were "designed" to "ratchet up pressure on the Venezuelan government."

Venezuela does not touch the Pacific Ocean.

This piece is terrific, and this line had me thinking about a Chuck Klosterman essay from 20+ years ago, about how early "Real World" cast members got edited into caricatures, prompting future cast members to sell themselves as caricatures.

Presaged our influencer dystopia now eating journalism.

Yup, descending toward Hanoi now. Will end up being nearly 47 hours.
