A loose harmony of shifting energies since 13.9B BCE: The Coyotacious Now.
Been stupidly sick since an allergic reaction Thursday morning, and I’m just lying awake, barely alive, listening to that one Beastie Boys song on loop so every three and a half minutes I can sing along with the barking dog intro. Because 🤘 you can’t 🤘you won’t 🤘 and you don’t stop🤘

The Met Opera’s upcoming production of The Magic Flute, with production and puppets by Julie Taymor, looks amazing. Check out some BTS rehearsal footage with these cleverly built critters: www.instagram.com/reel/DRVcInO...

I will never not be charmed by headlines about our alluring Seventh Planet (and what secrets may be probed in its depths).

I had that dream again last night, you know the one where we have the megaquake that would connect the Salton Sea with the Gulf of California? That one. This time I was measuring water samples at a newly erupted geyser near the border when the earth lurched and the fractured land began to saturate

Missing the Lights tonight plus a fireball meteor shower, and feeling blue for a lot of other reasons. But also inspired by a recent burst of clarity and creativity, and remembering that I’ve had plenty Lights and plenty meteors.

Something new is coming soon. Something big. And I’m ready for it. ☄️

omg, I love this poster art. "Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears! I caw CAW CAW CAW CAW"

Wish I were in San Diego to catch this free show at the library. I doubt they're actually played by birds (or dressed up like them), but what do you expect for free.

So starting November 21, The Design Museum in London will be home to a Wes Anderson exhibit that will include some critters from his films. This is absolutely a must-see bucket list thing for me, so expect to find me there. Saving my pence.

Haven’t seen “Tank Girl” since release; after a rewatch I remember why I dug it so much. It’s going into my feel-good regular-rewatch list. So bad-ass.

(unlike another manimal-forward film released two years later, “Warriors of Virtue,” the only movie I’ve ever walked out of to get a refund)

I don’t feel generally intimidating, but I almost got fired from a job because I stood up from my chair when someone was bullying my coworker. On public transit, I stand between jerks and their would-be victims, and the jerks get off the train.

My niece has been recommending movies for me lately, and so far there are no misses. K-Pop Demon Hunters was super fun, even if I don't get any of the references. The Willoughbys was rad. But the real winner of the bunch is Nimona, with shapeshifting and creatures and stuff. I feel seen. Watch it.

nice lady: What the hell are you doing?
me: Eating dinner.
lady: You just put barbecue sauce in your Cheerios.
me: Yeah. It’s, like, 4 o’clock. I can’t use milk. That’d be breakfast.
lady: …. Savage.
