Personally I’m a fan of the Grayling, arctic Char/Dolly Varden, Black or Yelloweye Rockfish, and the Lingcod.

This from the recap makes me so happy.

Funny, I also carved a spoon out of dry wood today and was thinking that you might know the species because of building instruments. It came from an estate sale for a furniture restorer. Sorry for the bad pictures, any idea on the wood? It’s pretty hard, but also works pretty easily.

One letter difference, but this is where my mind went.

Another low stress morning, at least when I realized that the dogs were barking at a trap, but hadn’t been sprayed.

It’s not what you might expect for a book that changes someone, but before this book I was someone who didn’t enjoy reading. After this book I was someone who stayed up late reading books and enjoying reading.

They don’t stink now, this is the second time we have had to wash the dog(s) after being sprayed by a skunk. Dish soap, baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide mixed together and sprinkled over the affected areas. Let it sit then rinse it off. Wash again with dog shampoo.

They should change that. People love stickers.

I voted early, but saved the sticker for today.

I saw tons of trucks in Japan, but I doubt even the one with the crane mounted on it weighs as much as a F150 with a king cab.

Completely unrelated, I have a book recommendation. I’m only 1/2 through, but it is excellent. Also that bread looks delicious.

We lost our cat Rose last night. Last year she was attacked by a dog that we tried adopting and she lost a leg as a result. Over the last couple of weeks she only had a sporadic appetite and her health nose dived in the last couple of days. This is the third pet to die in the last 14 months. 😢

We had a frost a couple of days ago, so I had to harvest everything frost sensitive.

It’s been a good part of the last two days hiking through the woods in northwest Connecticut. It really is a beautiful part of the state.

Gameday can check

We are expecting our first freeze tonight, so I harvested most of the frost tender stuff before putting row covers out and hoping for the best.
