If I'm following you again over here at BlueSky, that's because my Twitter account isn't accessible to me (it got locked the other day)

Unless I get access to it, then I'll be over here from now on

Feel free to follow back again, if you want😉

Not sure when/if I'll get access again
Getting tired of Spawnwave censoring comments on YT, I posted a fact check (w/link) about Nintendo's content guideline change in July 2025

The story he was covering was Dispatch being censored on NSW2 & how CP2077 was not

I've covered this in the past multiple times, but if he auto-deletes any

Super Rare continues their disappointing release slate into 2026

I think I bought 2-3 games from them last year, I used to buy most of the triple bundles, but the game quality has been pushing heavy into cozy titles, or name only spin-offs (Shovel Knight Dig)

Hoping their first NSW2 title picks

As I mentioned about Dragon Quest 1&2 2D-HD (that was a GKC as well) DQ & FF have a draw beyond normal games

Also, I heard yesterday S-E short shipped the NSW2 version in the west because of concerns w/ it not selling, so the 1st run allotment is selling out (has those MtG cards packed-in too)

Getting heavy Wonder Boy x Act Raiser II vibes from the screenshots, but at least this looks like it plays better then AR2.

I know they do this for every Nioh game, but I hate timed demos, thankfully it's more than a weekend here and there like Nioh 1/2, but still what's the point other for them to collect data, seems like a waste of time for the devs and players

It should be up until the game launches at least
Nioh 3 Demo. Players who complete the demo by Feb. 15, 2026, will receive the in-game bonus item the Twin-Snake Helmet, which can be used in the full version of the game. Save Data Carries Over Too.

Wanted to clear up a bunch of misinformation posts I saw in this link (see below)

Also, it feels like Kaneko is phoning it in, many of those designs look like re-do's of his previous SMT or Raidou character design

I know he updated a lot of his designs while at Atlus, but this feels lazier somehow

I'll need to see more before making my mind up

It's like Cozy took the Labyrinth of Amala from SMT3 mixed it w/DDS1, threw in some Persona for good measure & thought hey I like them all let's mix this together

I can't tell if the battle system is real-time or turn based

One thing I'm not a huge

No brainer on NSW1, I know why the uptick in price for NSW2, but it's not worth the extra cost, these games won't benefit from the extra horsepower and more than likely will be the same on both systems.

Wade Rosen is pushing hard for Atari again (which is why they're going more independent on their physical releases, w/o LRG) & heavier into retail.

Since Digital Eclipse developed this, they only needed to get approval from Disney & Capcom (which is a feat until itself) to make it happen

Expect

I posted recently over on Geeks-Lines new PS1 KS page about their Neo Geo book (that got struck down in a Cease & Desist ~10 years ago)

This is when Bitmap got exclusive licensing for their Neo Geo books (& have a new one coming out this year)

SNK sent out the legal, but it still shows BB does not
Why does it feel like Bitmap Books releases in the last few years have been sprite rip & background books more than anything else (also lazy box cover collections)

I know they started out with box art collections, but only fraction of what they do is beyond that

Last post on this...

The offshoots (DF & the Hookshot Media brands) didn't fall from the tree as it were and still work together, DF & HM team up for DF's website (it's on the page I linked earlier)

Point is British gaming press own quite a bit of what you see/read & are 'in bed' with one another

I still highly recommend The Untold History of Japanese Game Developers Vol. 1-3 & 5 (on Amazon) if you want in depth information on JPN gaming no one else has covered.

I have more comments about this & the British gaming press, but I'll refrain from posting here

This is NOT a good look with how

More to the story (can it actually get any WORSE?)...apparently so.

If you want to get a copy (as BB wont touch this or any future projects) theres a few on Ebay (and some other independent stores online)

If BB has a legal lock on this I'd be surprised if this gets reprinted from a different publisher down the line get it if interested

Holy ****, seriously

This puts Stika in a different light to me, that's a load if you're going to **** with someone's lively hood

Also Bitmap's kneejerk reaction to a personal grudge between the two of them

I was looking into getting the book

I just want to show how all (many) things are all connected...

Also seems those standards they pride themselves on are on a sliding scale apparently when money and/or access to devs is involved (based on the two points I mentioned in the other post).

I want to highlight this real quick

I see Time Extension (the gaming website) was mentioned yet again for deleting information from a news story w/o making mention of the edits

This was brought up in a Limited Run Games story I read they did by removing pertinent information from the story as well
themselves between projects

Hopefully FZ & Cosmos do well enough to keep them going, even though both are again niche projects

Note: The links below take some hearsay into account, but paint a (inaccurate, but fair)

It looks pretty nice, Formation Z was never a 'great' game during the 8-bit PC & Famicom versions

So this version has expanded it, but still a niche game

On a different note, I read a bunch of stories about Granzella this morning (since I saw they were devs on this)

They've been having financial

I know VGP/PNP are doing reprints of this (it's OOP now), but if you want to order in the US (as I mentioned months ago) the Marvelous store has them in stock ready to ship

That's where I bought mine and they got it to me fairly quickly, shipping was fair as well.

This reinforces my point from months ago about the shift in gamers (age, gender, what system is dominant)

Mobile is at the top (which isn't going to change) but the average age is most telling, 39-41 y.o.

So even if newer gamers are coming in, they're playing

I'm glad for those who want to revisit nostalgia or check it out for the 1st time

I seriously believe that after the initial wave of interest wanes on this thing, it'll end up where it was over 30 years ago

This really isn't VBs return, just Nintendo milking nostalgia for a couple of bucks
That sounds about right...😅
