Just had my first solo game of Warfighter Modern from DVG. It's was a fun experience but the learning the game could use some work. I think I got through it correctly though it took some time. I'll try another game soon while hopefully the order of play, etc... is still fresh.

Memoir ‘44 Scenario 3 Sword Beach. Capture and hold the 3 towns for bonus medals. Germans basically total defence. British full on attack mode. Let’s see what the cards allow us to do though. Playing double handed without looking at enemy deck during friendly turn.

It’s been a while but got the army men out. Memoir ‘44 scenario 1 - Pegasus Bridge. Can Howard seize the initiative to take and hold the bridges over the Caen Canal and Orne Rivers? Tall order and where’s Digby Tattham-Wharter with his brolly?

It’s been a while but got the army men out. Memoir ‘44 scenario 1 - Pegasus Bridge. Can Howard seize the initiative to take and hold the bridges over the Caen Canal and Orne Rivers? Tall order and where’s Digby Tattham-Wharter with his brolly?
I finished this game off this afternoon and glad I did. I’m bound to have got things wrong as it’s my first play through. Well the CSA won a Tactical victory by holding a roadway through to Chattanooga while stopping the Union claiming the railway objective.

Couldn’t sleep, good job I have the week off! Up early and decided to setup another game Ive not been able to setup before: Labyrinth War on Terror. I love volko games so hoping to enjoy this one! Steep learning curve but a lot of familiar principles so far.

I used some old foamboard to expand my little gaming board. It now accepts whole maps! I can now get games like Rebel Fury on it to play! Now just to learn how to play…

Picked up The Plum Island Horror on Ebay this week and decided to play the game straight away... But having to use TTS to play as the map is just too darn long for my space :) I'm enjoying it and the mechanics are starting to flow at about half way through. I did not read the manual before starting.

Stalingrad Advance to the Volga 1942 play through today. I’ve opted to play the Factory District scenario which starts on turn10 and has a couple of special rules. There’s a bit more setup involved, still randomised but with limited Soviet token options. Let’s see if I can get there before winter

2nd game of Manila The Savage Streets 1945 played. I lost the game, some of those Japanese defences are tough nuts to crack! Finished with Intramuros liberated but only 24/34 victory points.learnt a lot about the game though. I still think it’s fantastic design and I’ll be back for another try.

2nd game of Manila The Savage Streets 1945 played. I lost the game, some of those Japanese defences are tough nuts to crack! Finished with Intramuros liberated but only 24/34 victory points.learnt a lot about the game though. I still think it’s fantastic design and I’ll be back for another try.
Manila the savage streets 1945 game 2. Turn one. Managed to take Cocomo Island and Maypajo. I was 1 short of an overrun in both areas! Should have gone slightly bigger in both as this slowed my advance and game plan.

More ROOT tonight maybe, perchance? Probably have dinner and decide tbh. Lord of the Hundreds (mice) vs Keepers in Iron (badgers) no idea how to play either faction yet so should be fun to learn but may take ages to work it all out 🙃

A LOT of ROOT just arrived. I sourced a load from various places - mostly eBay at the weekend. Well it all arrived today! Pretty amazing from all involved! More pics in the replies :)now I need to store it all!!

And as if by magic the doorbell rings and the first of the eBay orders arrived! Thanks Royal Mail and the local-ish vendor (2nd class next day postage!) The Underword Hirelings. I did t really know what to expect in this little box. But there is quite a lot!!

A few games arrived from #secondchancegames this morning. El Alamein folio from Decision Games, Blackhorse from Tiny Battle and Vive L’empereur! from Blue Panther (my first Luttmann game). All half map games which I find easiest to get to my play area without much fuss. Looking forward to diving in!

I received Roo: Riverfolk through the mail yesterday and got the Lizards to the table in a solo game vs the cats. Lizards one by 6vp. They are a fun faction that I took to quite well. I later found that some people find them a bit hard to get going so would like to ply them in a multiplayer game.
