German victory 4-3 medals. The allies managed to push them back into the woods but they just weren’t fast enough getting up that damn cliff face.

And just like that the battle is won by the Germans 4-3 medals. A good die roll from close artillery fire at the encroaching tank unit finishes them off. The tank unit being ineffective vs dug in town infantry tried instead to prize the artillery from its bunker the turn prior.

Germany pulled out “Their Finest Hour” card in the defence of Riva Bella. The understrength infantry saw off the commandos in the woods while the tanks in the town saw off the allied tank squad!

Memoir ‘44 Scenario 3 Sword Beach. Capture and hold the 3 towns for bonus medals. Germans basically total defence. British full on attack mode. Let’s see what the cards allow us to do though. Playing double handed without looking at enemy deck during friendly turn.

Ok that will do it! A ‘nade result on a dug in tank on 1 die to get the fourth medal for the allies. 4-1 medal tally.

Errr what are the chances!! Allies get air support, Germans counter with it, then allies counter again! Not a lot left and allies are up 3-0 medals.

Allied victory!! Wiped out 3 German units and jumped on the bridge at the end of the turn with the last “Direct from HQ” order.

I finished this game off this afternoon and glad I did. I’m bound to have got things wrong as it’s my first play through. Well the CSA won a Tactical victory by holding a roadway through to Chattanooga while stopping the Union claiming the railway objective.

Couldn’t sleep, good job I have the week off! Up early and decided to setup another game Ive not been able to setup before: Labyrinth War on Terror. I love volko games so hoping to enjoy this one! Steep learning curve but a lot of familiar principles so far.

I used some old foamboard to expand my little gaming board. It now accepts whole maps! I can now get games like Rebel Fury on it to play! Now just to learn how to play…

Finished the game off last night. It started to really flow quickly by then. A victory for the Police and National
guard! There is quite a lot I didn’t play with in this game. NPCs mainly sat around and most of the vehicles too. Definitely replaying with new factions soon.

Only taken a couple of screenshots. The second is the game state with two turns left in the current round. Not doing too bad, but the situation could change at any moment I'm sure. I feel like it hasn't been as harsh as some other games like this that I have played....tempting Fate, I know!

Ok last of the save game pics. Hopefully I’ll carry on in the week! 🤞thanks for following along. I like that there are differences in the two games. I might even prefer the combat computations in this one as it gives divisional bonuses. Very cool. ❤️

Well guys. I’m actually starting to feel pretty pooped. I’ve a few health issues at the moment and they are getting the better of me as the day goes on. I think I’d stop the turn there anyway so I will take some pics of the board as a save game and continue another time.

T10e. Barrikady Ordnance Factory. Fortified Fanatics10!!! Schrecklich! Lose the fight 21-22 I didn’t have any more support to add here. Another repulse. I lose 14/PZ. Note I also lost 24/26 in T10d.

T10d. Red October Steel Works. First battering. The Barrage took out 305/577. German dice terrible, Soviet dice amazing. Pushed back to the Workers Settlement along with other penalties!

T10c. Oil Refinery. 100 div supported by 254b armour vs fortified guards next to the Volga river! Soviets get 4d6 discard lowest 2. As I used air support I rolled 3 and discarded 1 but that could have changed to RAW if the rolls didn’t go as well as it did! Won 27-23. Put a lot into this one.

I think Stuka Joe made a PDF on BGG though so I’ll print one off at work but this works fine and does not enlarge the game’s footprint. We clear out the Fanatics! Resolution maths is a little different to Manila
