That said, I feel like orgs with huge churn tend to be more susceptible to critical bugs that cause massive loss in revenue over time since:
1. People assume they'll be rewarded for showing complexity
2. Over time, complexity compounds and no really understands the system fully

The revenue part is 💯 true, but as a hedge against future disruptions, they do need to invest in whatever is the trending area du jour, like Cloud or AI or Quantum Computing, if only to appease the investors.
