Just realised I forgot to swap the stereo channels on the void recording so you’ll be hearing it flipped 😭

First (published) recordings with my new ZOOM H5 Studio.

It lowered the tone from unsettling, enigmatic, lovecraftian horror to cliched marvel villain slop. It’s like pulling up to your favourite craft pizza truck on a dark winter evening and finding a sign that reads “sorry our oven is broken, so we’ve ordered in Dominos instead.”

To be fair it’s got better analog controls than the gamepad that originally shipped with the PSX 🤣

As a PSX owner for a short time the N64 gamepad felt more advanced. I guess maybe because I only ever used it for goldeneye

Yeah the connector is absolute dogshit and I'm pretty close to 100% sure it's neither designed nor rated for vibration resistance. I guess the proof is in the dozens of people having this exact issue and fixing it like it's a fucking Nintendo cartridge.

There's no graceful way to get Ethernet to a high shelf on the wrong side of my kitchen... using a Pi as a print-server notwithstanding. I've also run out of ports 😭
