My dnd char went down in combat round 1 so I had time to write a third verse. Tyras is the town we're in and it's a crater and a floating island above it.

Knight, in stride you ride your yearly round carry dawn to dusk the mythic band follow through your duty to the end and join the queen to tether our town. Island risen up from fundament Sué shines on Tyras high and low em'rald lush and shaded vineyards grow; every brilliant day a new ascent.

(the town has a ritual where a knight takes a long rope, carries it around the perimeter of the town and then joins the ends with the midsummer queen to assure the unity of the town or something, I wasnt listening, I was googling synonyms.)

My sister has this stunning edition of Little Women and I started reading it yesterday :) It's very cute but thickkk in civil war propaganda and moral lessons. Interesting glimpse into the values and literature at the time.

I'm listening to Shield of Sparrows right now and the narrator chose to fry the absolute fuck out of her voice for every male character, including the two potential love interests. It's extremely irritating but so far, neither of them has spoken much so it was fine. STOP GROWLING

Yesterday I finished #TheGodOfTheWoods by Liz Moore 💙📚
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I enjoyed how the story was told through different timelines and POVs and I liked all the main narrators, Alice is my favourite.
With Judyta, the second half read more as a police procedural, I didn't love that.
