you should not be arguing that AI has or does not have X or Y property which makes it conscious, but rather that it is useful (or more consistent or such) to categorize things which have X property held by AI as conscious or not.

well pds blob size limit also used to be 1mb and some pdses might still run with that? but since video it's like 100mb iirc on bsky pdses so like you're probably not gonna hit the real blob size limit anymore just uploading a single image lol (+can always selfhost)

can always upload two blobs 1mb/orig in the client and add an extension field for the orig blob to app.bsky.embed.images i guess

i guess i'll never know cause i would never do something that could be beneficial to artists

the client resizes (clamp to 2000x? assuming it's the same as in 2023) then jpegs any image before upload

bsky's imgproxy gets the blob your client uploaded to the pds and does another resize and jpeg

you can actually upload png to the pds and request png from imgproxy, client/AV are the culprit

literally why would they ban for lack of a self-label the whole point of the labeler system is that more granular and specific actions can be taken than the removal of an account

we even used to report our own posts to get them labeled when self-labels didn't exist yet

basically everything is s3 compatible these days, you can pick any provider on s3.wiki and it'll work for most software
